A specific goal of the Diversity Enrichment Scholarship is to expand and enrich Portland State's learning environment by recognizing and supporting outstanding students from many cultures, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, with diverse talents, interests, and life experiences. To be eligible students must have earned at least 30 or more college credits (no more than 160 college credits) with an overall cumulative college GPA of 2.50 and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status. Priority given to students who are Oregon residents, have financial need as defined by federal guidelines, are first generation college students, and who will contribute to the campus' diversity goals. Each scholarship provides partial to full remission of resident instructional fees for three to nine terms. Students receive academic support services and must complete at least 12 credits per term, maintaining a 2.50+ GPA for scholarship renewal. For support of students completing their first bachelor's degree. |
