Criteria: This scholarship is available to students who are admitted to PSU as freshman or college students with less than 30 credits. The goal of the Diversity Enrichment Scholarship is to expand and enrich Portland State's learning environment by recognizing and supporting outstanding students from many cultures, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, with diverse talents, interests, and life experiences. For the freshman award, graduating high school seniors and others with less than 30 college credits must meet regular admissions requirements and hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status. Priority to students who are Oregon residents, have financial need as defined by federal guidelines, are first generation college students, and who will contribute to the campus diversity goals. Each scholarship provides partial to full remission of instructional fees for three to 15 terms for students maintaining a 2.5+ GPA for scholarship and meet all other program requirements.. Students are provided with academic support services and are required to complete at least 12 credits per term and maintain a 2.50+ college GPA.
